Natural Horsemanship

A true conversation between you & your horse

What is Natural Horsemanship?

Natural Horsemanship is a gentle, relationship-based approach to working with horses that respects their natural instincts, behaviour, and communication. Led by a BHS qualified trainer, Applied Equine Behaviour Consultant, and Horse Agility Trainer, Heather seems, these sessions are designed to help both horse and handler build trust, confidence, understanding, and clearer communication in a way that feels calm, supportive, and effective.

How it works:

Every horse is different, so sessions are tailored to your individual needs rather than offered as fixed packages. Whether you are looking for regular weekly or monthly support, or a more focused intensive approach, the best personalised programme will be recommended for you and your horse. Coaching can support a wide range of goals and can be applied across different horsemanship styles, including English, Western, endurance, trail riding, competition, or simply for pleasure.

Potential Benefits:

• Improved communication between horse and rider
• Greater trust, confidence, and connection
• Support with behaviour, handling, and groundwork
• A calmer, more understanding approach to training
• Techniques that work with the horse’s natural instincts
• Flexible coaching suited to many riding styles and goals

What to expect:

Sessions are tailored to both you and your horse, with a calm, supportive approach that works with your horse’s natural instincts, behaviour, and communication. Whether you are building confidence, improving handling, strengthening your partnership, or working through specific challenges, each session is designed around your individual needs.

Support can be offered as regular weekly or monthly sessions, or as a more focused intensive approach, depending on what will best help you and your horse progress.
